Hmmmm

Girlie Bear just asked permission to take Mentos and Diet Coke to school for a science experiment.  I told her that if her science teacher emailed me proving that this isn't stupid teenager tricks, then OK.  But I still think that nothing good can come from this.

Valid experiment demonstrating nucleation effects. Also much safer than boiling water in a microwave.

And I am certain you never did anything such as this?

Just wondering!!

But that is a cool trick....somewhat similar to...well maybe the acetylene/O2 mix in the 30 gallon drum and the blasting caps maybe were a bit much......and lugging that damn car battery back into the woods was a pain..

Maddmedic - I admit nothing. Absolutely nothing!

Just got an email from her science teacher saying this was legit. Guess I'm stopping by SuperDuperMegaMart on the way home for 'supplies'.

Mission accomplished. I got the candy and soda. I look forward to an interesting laundry load tomorrow night.
