In honor of Earth Hour, I've got a bunch of lights on, the TV and computers running, and the air conditioning is on.
As an added bonus, I made plans with the neighbor tonight to cut down a big honeysuckle bush that sits on the property line using a chain saw with a two-stroke motor. Nothing like that wonderful blue smoke. This was after I mowed the lawn with my dirty old powermower, which according to my enviro-hippie barista, kills little baby birds every time the engine fires.
What are you all doing to make a difference?

I drive a 12 mpg truck every day, and have numerous computers, the TV, all the lights, and numerous fans on. Just doing my part.
I'm with Loki! :-)
Huh. I didn't realize that was tonight. It says 8:30, but I don't know which 8:30. I assume they mean "their" 8:30, which is Eastern Time. That means I was out mowing the lawn with my riding mower. That's ok, though because it runs on kitten juice which is proven not to harm the environment. We also drove around town today taking the kids to different places to have fun. I've converted the car to run on Spotted-Owl and Black Rhinocerous extract. The environment is safe with me.
Think maybe I should light a nice smoky dead tree fire in the stove?
Sniff....
I am so proud of you guys!
Burning wood in my fireplace and admiring the way my vegi friends where using candles to light their way while posting photos on their facebook via mobile phones....
Oh, I completely didn't notice. I mean, given an hour is a uniquely Sol III rotation-based unit of time, every "hour" is an "Earth hour." This will become far more apparent when we establish our independent ventures and rebelling-as-soon-as-the-infrastructure-can-handle-it colonies.
