Today's Earworm
This one's dedicated to NavyOne, who has the most interesting picture of a frog I've seen in a long time.

Today's Earworm
This one is dedicated to JayG, who put this little ditty into my mind last night in GBC. Perhaps thanks to the extra spicy fried rice I had for dinner last night, I dreamt last night I was in a dive bar I used to frequent. George Thorogood was up on stage playing it over and over and over. Now, that's not exactly a bad dream. Nothing like dreaming about sitting in a bar, enjoying a few drinks, and listening to music. But doing it in that never-ending dream time became tiresome.
And yes, it's still scratching at my temporal lobe.

Today's Earworm
A bar in Tennessee has announced that it will start having a streamed viewing of Sunday church services available for customers. The management of the Drunk Monkey in Tulsa has worked with the pastor at a local church to make services available to people who might not be comfortable in a church. This makes sense to me. Christ didn't come to preach to those who already believed.
Of course, the heathen in me had this running through my head when I read it.

Today's Earworm
This is Minot
It snows here eight months out of the year, and rains for three more
The food here is tough and tasteless
The people here can be even more so.
The highlight of living here is the pests. We have ..... Norwegians.
And yes, Irish Woman's pet name for me is "The Viking" or "Stoic".

Songs of Two Evenings
Saturday evening, I went to an Irish pub with a group of friends, drank way too much, and between us all we found answers to all of the world's problems. It was kind of like this:
This evening, I cut up two honeysuckle bushes and bound the pieces up in the manner in which my wife told me it needed to be done so that the nice men will take them away tomorrow. It was kind of like this:
Oh, if only life could be nothing more than looking at guns and gear all day followed by drinking and talking with friends all night? Real life can be such a pain.

Today's Earworm
In honor of the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, and especially their fans who are apparently setting anything they can find alight.
Yeah, I don't expect to be able to do anything productive for about five days. How's your week going?

Today's Earworm
For Saturday morning cartoons today, we watched "The Princess Bride". Boo loved swashing some buckle. And yes, I've sung this song to a girl, long ago and far away.

Today's Earworm
Due to the way our schedules work out, I'm normally the parent who gets Boo ready in the morning and takes him to school. For whatever reason, I either listen to a mix of kids music or a mix of classical music on the iPod for our 15 minute drive.
This morning, the classical mix brought us to the beginning to the choral part of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which I have been told I incorrectly call "Ode to Joy". The recording I have has a great German baritone doing the initial solo, and Boo got into it.
As we walked into the school, he was singing "Fweude! Fweude!" as dramatically as he could.
I think I'm doing something right.
