Good Morning!

Guess what we woke up to this AM?

Girlie Bear was crying and gnashing her teeth because school wasn't cancelled.  Boo has been jumping up and down to go out and roll in it.  The dogs got a chance to run around for a bit when I let them out, but they were more than happy to come in and lay down on their blankets.  Of course, I put the snow shovels away before the big storm on Friday so they didn't turn into flying scythes, but it should melt off as soon as the sun comes up.

I'm not looking forward to the commute, but it's always funny to watch the locals deal with White Death.  I think this might be the most snow we've gotten all winter, so they may be thinking this must be the end of days.

Beautiful!

In my town they cancel school even if the sky gets a little dark. We get a fair amount of snow(not this year) but each time they act like its the first time. My kids miss school all the time in a typical winter.

It's normally that way here too. I'm surprised that we're not at least delayed a couple of hours.

It probably is the most snow we’ve had this winter, we have had a mild one so far. Of course people to our north (used to much more extreme winters) laugh at our follies and that’s natural. I remember years ago being in Georgia when they got less than an inch one night. I was quite amused to find out the locals thought it was the end of the world!

That's typically referred to as a "dusting". :) At least in years gone by - seems like everyone is getting a bit more jittery about the white stuff recently. Very pretty looking - enjoy, it will be hot, sticky, humid, rainy - all the summer complaint words - soon enough!

My aunt lives in Lexington, KY, and said they woke up to 5 inches of snow this morning.

It's just butt-biting cold here where I live.

Down here in Central/South Texas everything shuts down if someone dreams about snow. All it takes is a dusting and people freak.
