Effective Parenting.

Testify brother.  I've been there, and I refuse to go back.

Junior Bear and I went round and round the last year or so he lived at home, and I sort of wish I'd taken the stuff I took away from him to the range instead of just giving it away.  I might have felt better.

I hope he doesn't back down once he's calmer. He did the right thing and I hope a LOT of people see it.

I wonder where the kid learned that kind of attitude? Could it possibly be from pop culture? facebook?

Honestly, I'd have done the same with the phone, too--especially if it was a smartphone. I'd have made sure to have had a second magazine just for the phone.

Thank God I've got years before my kids are to that age.

As punishment for semi-privately airing family grievances on Facebook, he aired them out on Youtube and humiliated her in front of millions. In the process, he destroyed property he was already upset that time and money had been invested in, for spite.

I'd say she learned that attitude from Dad, not pop culture. I agree she sounds like a snotty teenager, but to me he comes off as a major asshole who's mostly just teaching his kid who has the power, not respect.
