Overheard in the Living Room

Girlie Bear, watching Star Wars:  Are the guys in the white suits good guys or bad guys?
Me:  Honey, those are imperial stormtroopers.
Girlie Bear:  So they're..... bad?

Facepalm.

    She might be more perceptive than you think, I've seen some pretty good cases made that the rebels aren't really the good guys, seeing as how they destabilize and overthrow a stable nation with no plan whatsoever for a replacement government, let alone defense...

    So in these cases? What part of blowing up a planet and killing there own citizens did they not get.

    By that logic our Founding Fathers were in the wrong too.

    You mean like having an immediate government crackdown on people who want to secede from the secession and are unwilling to respond to anything other than force, like our Founding Fathers did...?

    They at least did have a very extensive plan for what to replace the British with.

    That took them 11 years after the Declaration of Independance and 9 years after the war ended to come up with the Constitution of the United States.

    They had no more a plan than the rebels from Star Wars.
